On the shortened first day of the Kingston Test, Kemar Roach stunned Bangladesh early on, but the host team was unable to claim a few more wickets due to West Indies’ subpar catching. Shadman Islam and Shahadat Hossain were undefeated at 50 and 12, respectively, as Bangladesh finished at 69 for 2. If the West Indies fielders hadn’t lost three catches in quick succession, it may have been much worse.
