Jomel Warrican and West Indies’ spin bowlers outsmarted Pakistan, ensnaring their batsmen and bowling them out for 133, achieving their first victory in Pakistan since 1990. West Indies needed just over an hour on day three to dismantle Pakistan’s last six wickets, with a 39-run partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Agha being the sole resistance as West Indies claimed a 120-run triumph that equalized the series. The day’s early signs were troubling for Pakistan when, just three balls in.

Saud Shakeel was tempted into an edge off a delivery from Kevin Sinclair that veered away, landing in the hands of first slip. Nightwatchman Kashif Ali followed shortly after, as Warrican delivered a blow through his pads, signaling West Indies’ intent. Rizwan and Agha temporarily held back the relentless West Indies assault, settling in to endure the pressure. With Kemar Roach sidelined due to injury, West Indies continued to make strides with their spin trio.

Rizwan managed to score from the odd loose delivery, though such opportunities were becoming increasingly infrequent, leaving Pakistan feeling increasingly suffocated. For 12 overs, the seventh-wicket duo resisted, but Warrican managed to deliver a low ball that caught Agha off guard as he tried to defend. The ball struck him on the back pad just beside the stumps, granting the visitors the breakthrough to expose the lower order.

Not long after, Warrican struck again, dismissing Rizwan who misjudged a delivery that maintained its trajectory and pierced the bat-pad gap, resulting in a chaotic disturbance of his stumps. At this stage, only the formalities of the match remained. Noman Ali fell prey to Gudakesh Motie, but it was fitting that Warrican delivered the final blow. Sajid Khan inadvertently sent a ball onto his own stumps, wrapping up another five-wicket haul for Warrican, bringing his series total to 19.

As West Indies erupted in celebration, Warrican locked eyes with Sajid and executed his now-signature thigh-thumping celebration, symbolizing how West Indies had repaid Pakistan with their own medicine.
